Well, I haven't caught up since the early events of our holiday bonanza so I thought it was about time I made sure to post something. Hopefully, I'll feel more inclined to spend the time doing a proper post once I've gotten over my obsessive "nesting" phase. So far I've: organized 16+ photo albums from Chris' childhood, including all the photos he had inherited from his mom; wrangled Chris into moving our bedroom downstairs and our storage upstairs (so I don't have to go up and down a flight of stairs carrying a newborn when we get home from the hospital); completely cleaned the apartment from top to bottom (multiple times); am doing laundry as soon as there is a possible load to be washed; cooked goodness knows how many meals and treats; prepared all the baby stuff I can; and the list goes on...
The real reason for my post today was to share two Michaela stories. She says and does the craziest things sometimes and Chris and I can only stand there and laugh at the things she comes up with.
1) Today when Chris came home for lunch Michaela was very excited to see her Daddy. She was running to the top of the stair landing screaming "HI DADDY! HI DADDY!" until he replied to her and came into sight. After he bent down to give her a hug and a kiss she very matter of factly informed him, "You're a prince." And then ran off to keep playing.
2) Tonight when Chris got home from work he went in to check on Michaela when she woke up from her afternoon nap. I immediately got a frantic call for "Carinn!" and went rushing back to see what was going on. Our very smart two year old had apparently decided that she no longer wanted her pull-up on while taking her nap. At some time during her "nap"she had removed the pull-up, thrown it on the floor, and redressed herself in her pants. We got a good chuckle out of the whole situation and I'm still giggling thinking about it hours later... :)
